Ron Nelson
Divemaster

 

Ron Nelson fell in love with scuba when he took his first scuba class from MDC Sports in 2008. In 2009 he became a divemaster so he could share the sport with others. Ron has enjoyed diving on the North Shore of Lake Superior, Mexico, and Wazee Lake. Even though he has only been diving for a short time, Ron is grateful for the fantastic people he has met and had the privilege to dive with.

PADI Divemaster, PADI Ice Diver, PADI Equipment Specialist, PADI Dry Suit Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver

What got you interested in scuba?
I have always loved the world underwater and watching old Cousteau shows.

Why did you decide to become a divemaster?
From my first Open Water class with Claudia I fell in love with the sport. Now it is a great joy to share scuba with others and help them fall in love with it too.

What is your favorite dive site?
I enjoy every dive site I've been to, from ice diving to Cozumel, Mexico it has all been great. Warm water is very nice though.

What are your other hobbies or interests?
Camping, golf, fishing, and spending time with my grandkids
