Henry Hocraffer
Divemaster

 

Henry's interest in scuba was sparked by the TV show "Sea Hunt." In 1977, he took his first scuba class at Iowa State University and has been diving ever since. In 2008, Henry became a PADI Divemaster so he could share his passion for diving with others. He enjoys diving both locally and tropically and has logged hours underwater in Wazee Lake, Lake Superior, Florida, Cozumel, Bonaire, Belize, Hawaii, and more. As long as he's in the water with good dive buddies, he is happy. Henry particularly enjoys diving with his wife and four children.

What got you interested in scuba?
The TV show "Sea Hunt" with Lloyd Bridges.

Why did you decide to become a divemaster?
It was an opportunity to share my love of scuba with others.

What is your favorite dive site?
Anywhere with water. I have special memories from diving the Ely wreck in Lake Superior,
Chun Chakaab-Cozumel, Glover's Atoll- Belize, and Karpata-Bonaire.

What are your other hobbies or interests?
Nordic and downhill skiing, biking, and camping
